Make it to the market

Event Date:

April 9, 2022

Event Time:

7:30 am

Event Location:

Triumph Motorcycles Cape Town

Join us on 9 April for an epic breakfast ride ending at the Greyton Farmers Market.

Few things are better than spending a Saturday morning strolling around a market and if you have yet to visit the Greyton Farmers Market here’s your shot!

The market is run by volunteers from the Greyton Conservation Society with each stallholder donating 10% of his or her takings to this worthy cause weekly. It is renowned for its fresh, scrumptious foods and other close-to-nature products.

Greyton has a wealth of talented artists and crafters who display their diverse work each week without fail. Things to look forward to including:

Ilse van Lingen’s biltong and wood-fired bread and Loret’s range of home-made pestos (WARNING: these are addictive). There is also an Animal Welfare stall where you can play with (or even fall in love with) an abandoned pet. You can also stock up on gourmet pet treats for your own mutt back home.

We will be. Departing from the Triumph Cape Town Showroom at 8 am OR if this is out of your way, feel free to meet us at the secondary meeting point: False Bay Engen, departing at 8:30  https://goo.gl/maps/uQuSkjUaiddqh6BF7

As always we will be taking the scenic route, and WOW this is one you don’t want to miss. We will go via Clarens Drive R44. If you like passes with lots of corners, then this one is for you, as it contains 77 bends, curves, and corners of which four are in excess of 150 degrees! Next, we will go via Kleinmond. The route here ribbons through a stretch of fynbos linking mountains with the Atlantic Ocean. The Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve, South Africa’s first UNESCO recognised biosphere, dominates the landscape with indigenous forest, fynbos, and a variety of birds and animals. A true escape to nature.

Then we head through Hemel-en-Aardle (directly translated to heaven and earth- and it’s pretty obvious why!) Hemel-en-Aarde is widely regarded as one of the most exciting wine areas in South Africa and one of the most beautiful.

Finally, we go through Caledon, where the bright green and yellow flowers are almost hypnotic before we reach our final stop at the Greyton Farmers Market.

The event is limited to 30 people, pillions included. All motorcycles are welcome. Please be sure to register your attendance by selecting one or two tickets for the pillion.

We look forward to seeing you there.
